Position: Principal PM, Program/Project Management
Position Overview:
The Industrial Program Office is seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead the implementation of a robust project management framework, that supports consistent and successful project planning and execution, across the IPP VBU project portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and enforcing consistent project management practices, tools, and methodologies across the portfolio, whilst ensuring alignment with Industrial goals and objectives.
Responsibilities/Duties
- Lead the implementation of standardized project management methodologies (e.g. Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) across the IPP VBU, ensuring consistency and best practices.
- Drive a culture of project management excellence by establishing clear project governance structures, ensuring compliance with organizational policies, quality standards, and risk management protocols.
- Co-ordinate the roll-out of integrated project management tools to streamline project scheduling, budgeting, and reporting.
- Leverage automation to reduce administrative tasks for PMs and define standardized templates to improve project tracking, documentation, and reporting.
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project success and monitor project health.
- Collect data on project performance and produce status reports for internal and external stakeholders, to ensure transparency and accountability.
- Regularly assess and update the PMO’s methodologies and tools to incorporate new trends, technologies, or frameworks.
- Establish feedback mechanisms for continuous improvement, soliciting input from project teams and stakeholders to refine processes and strategies.
- Clearly communicate the status of Industrial Program Office initiatives on a regular basis across key stakeholders.
- Serve as a champion for advancing Project Management best practices both within Industrial and the wider ADI PM community.
- Provide guidance, mentoring, coaching and training to project managers and teams, to help them adopt new PM processes and tools.
- Build strong partnerships across the Industrial BU to ensure a collaborative environment that delivers optimum business outcomes.
- Travel to Industrial sites for planning events and other meetings as required.
Qualifications/Experience:
The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, dynamic, meticulous, prepared to take the initiative and exhibit the following skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent
- Project management certification.
- Minimum of 15 years industry experience. The project manager must have strong practical experience in project management, preferably with some background in silicon development or electronics systems design.
- Strong Knowledge of MS Office tools.
- Proficient in Atlassian tool suite.
- Strong analytical skills are essential.
- Ability to drive tasks to completion through close coordination with multiple groups.
- Proven success in leading cross functional teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
