Hours: 39 hours week Mon to Thurs: 7:30am – 4:30pm Friday (Early Finish): 8:00am – 1:00pm
This is a newly created, on-site role reporting to our long-serving Head of Procurement (15+ years in role), and will be central to strengthening purchasing operations across our 450-person organisation.
You’ll be responsible for maintaining accurate purchasing records, tracking the movement of goods, issuing and chasing purchase orders, supporting monthly stocktakes, and helping prepare project material kits. The role offers exposure to the full procurement lifecycle, with opportunities to build experience in forecasting, systems, and project-based material planning.
We’re looking for someone with 3+ years’ experience in purchasing, procurement, or materials coordination ideally gained in a technical, engineering, or construction-related environment who’s ready to step up into a broader, more varied procurement role to develop their career over the coming years.
Purchasing Support
- Raise, issue, and manage purchase orders for project materials, stock, and consumables.
- Track and chase outstanding orders with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
- Liaise with suppliers to confirm pricing, lead times, and delivery updates.
- Maintain PO and purchasing logs, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
- Assist with maintaining supplier details and pricing files.
Stock & Materials Coordination
- Conduct monthly stocktakes in collaboration with stores and production.
- Track goods in/out and maintain delivery documentation for planning and audit purposes.
- Support setup of project kits based on BOMs and monitor materials usage across projects.
- Update internal systems (Excel & Pegasus) with stock levels and purchasing data.
Support for Procurement Systems
- Keep Pegasus and internal tracking tools updated with purchasing and stock activity.
- Help maintain digital purchasing records in a clear and accessible format.
- Contribute to routine procurement reports on PO status and stock availability.
Mandatory Requirements
Experience
- 3+ years minimum in a purchasing, procurement, or materials coordination role.
- Background in a manufacturing, engineering, construction, or M&E setting.
- Familiarity with BOMs and project-specific material needs.
- Experience supporting stocktakes and goods-in/out processes.
- Competent in Microsoft Excel and purchasing/stock management systems.
Skills
- Confident managing multiple open orders and liaising with suppliers.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and stock tracking.
- Strong written and verbal communication across departments and with vendors.
- Dependable, well-organised, and consistent in following through on actions.

- Consumables stock maintained with no critical shortages.

- BOM kits prepared and delivered to site with minimal errors or gaps.
