Reporting to the Production Manager
Serosep Ltd. is currently recruiting a Production Supervisor to join our Molecular Diagnostics Production team. This is a full-time role based at our facilities in Annacotty. In this role, you will be responsible to oversee the day to day operations, supervising a team of manufacturing scientists, ensuring that all production activities meet the highest quality and compliance standards. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, a commitment to continuous improvement, and a passion for delivering excellence in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Main Duties:
- Lead, motivate, and manage a team of production and QC scientists/operators
- Ensure appropriate staffing levels to meet production schedules.
- Provide training, coaching, and performance feedback.
- Production & Planning
- Execute daily/weekly production schedules to meet output and delivery targets.
- Monitor workflow, machine utilization, and material availability.
- Troubleshoot issues that may impact efficiency, quality, or timelines.
- Quality & Compliance
- Ensure products are manufactured in compliance with quality standards, SOPs, and regulatory requirements (ISO, GMP, etc.).
- Liaise with Planning, Quality, Maintenance, and R&D to ensure smooth operations.
- Report on key production metrics
Essential Criteria:
- BSc in Biological or equivalent and/or a minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a similar role.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a production/manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality systems (ISO 13485 / GMP experience desirable for medical device/diagnostics).
- Excellent team player and multi-tasker.
- Proven leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Strong focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Proficiency in MS Office
Desirable Criteria:
- 1 year experience in a supervisory/lead role.
