We are supporting a leading renewable energy investor in their search for a Development Project Manager to join their team on a contract basis, managing early to mid-stage development projects across Ireland. This is a critical role within their renewable development team, with a focus on Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage (BESS) projects.
Job Overview:
The successfull candidate will oversee projects from acquisition through pre-construction, managing third-party developers contracted to deliver key development activities. The role involves coordinating planning, grid connections, and permitting, ensuring all development milestones are met on time and to standard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage third-party developers under service agreements
- Oversee development activities: land, planning, and grid
- Coordinate planning applications and ensure community engagement
- Lead the grid connection process with Irish utilities
- Oversee technical surveys (ecological, archaeological, environmental)
- Report on project progress to senior management
Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience managing renewable energy development in Ireland
- Strong knowledge of Irish planning and grid connection processes
- Comfortable managing external developers and stakeholders
- Dublin-based or commutable
- Strong coordination, commercial, and communication skills
Contract Details:
- Contract Type: Freelance/Contract
- Duration: 2 - 3 years
- Working Arrangement: Full-time, 5 days/week
