Through our Rough Sleeper Service, we offer immediate support, care, and guidance to some of the most marginalised individuals in our community. This is a unique care role that combines direct support work with administrative and statistical responsibilities, helping ensure our service delivery is informed, compassionate, and responsive.

Your Role as a Project Support Worker (RSS)
As a Project Support Worker in our Rough Sleeper Service, you’ll play a key role in maintaining a safe and welcoming space for people experiencing street homelessness. Your work will involve a mix of hands-on care, client engagement, and accurate recording of service data.
You’ll be part of a dedicated and experienced team, ensuring people can access basic services and appropriate referrals, while also supporting the service through high-quality record keeping and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Initial Contact: Welcome and support individuals accessing the Day Centre; identify immediate needs; refer to appropriate services
- Care Support: Facilitate access to meals, showers, laundry, and clean clothing
- Admin & Records: Maintain accurate records of service use, substance misuse data, and referrals using systems like PASS and InForm
- Statistics & Reports: Generate reports to support service planning and funding; assist in gathering data on drug/alcohol use, referrals, and care outcomes
- Finance Support: Handle petty cash, record client funds, and track transactions
- Service Delivery: Support Day Centre operations; ensure high hygiene and safety standards; assist with resident inductions and basic health & safety procedures
- Client Engagement: Build respectful relationships with people using the service; encourage engagement with healthcare, mental health, and addiction supports
- Collaboration: Work closely with Team Leaders, Project Workers, outreach teams, and external agencies
Ideal Candidate Profile
We are looking for a compassionate and organised individual who is comfortable working in a dynamic frontline care setting with significant admin duties.
- Experience in a care/support setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent numeric, written, and IT skills
- Experience with data entry or administrative tasks
- Understanding of confidentiality, boundaries, and client-led support
- Ability to manage challenging behaviours and work under pressure
