Location: Gowran, Co. Kilkenny
The person will report to the Quality Manager and carry out the following duties to help maintain BRC Food Safety Standard (Version 9):
· Daily sampling/ testing of raw materials and finished products
· Lab testing procedures such as FFA, Cook test and Ash test
· Scanning finished products on the NIR to determine Protein, Oil, Moisture and Ash content of finished product
· Scanning of sample barcodes
· Calibration of equipment on site including scales, probes etc.
· Daily and weekly quality checks carried out on the floor e.g., Knife checks, Glass audits etc.
· Reviewing customer complaints and gathering information to aid the response to the complaint
· Gathering and reviewing supplier approval documentation
· Daily observation of the factory floor ensure it is in good clean condition and report any findings to the Quality Manager
· Aiding with queries and requests from customers and completing QAS sheets
· Aiding in the preparation of customer and approval audits
Completing documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
Other duties as requested by Management
Experience:
Industry/Lab experience preferred but not essential
Qualification:
Third level science qualification preferred but not essential, industry experience will be considered.
Salary:
To be discussed at interview stage, depends on experience
