.About the role
Deloitte has an exciting career opportunity for a Senior Consultant within our Audit & Assurance team in our Dublin office. This is a great opportunity for someone with the drive and determination to help develop the Regulatory Reporting service line within our Audit & Assurance practice. The successful candidate will be innovative in understanding and applying our current capabilities and services. The purpose of this role is to provide regulatory reporting advice and expertise to a broad range of Financial Services clients.
Every client assignment is unique providing you with an opportunity to work on a variety of projects and tasks, across sectors and industries including the following:
Provision of technical experience and expertise to assist a broad range of clients to manage their relevant regulatory requirements in terms of European Regulation (CRD/CRR, BRRD).
The interpretation and implementation of new and existing regulations.
Supporting the development of client regulatory reporting control frameworks, processes and risk policies and enhancing/implementing of systems and processes in relation to regulatory reporting.
Supporting the development of compliance policies and procedures (i.e. Governance frameworks, controls, etc.).
Reviewing and supporting client documentation in relation to regulatory requirements.
Secondments to client Finance, Regulatory Reporting, Risk and Treasury Functions.
Support the development of new business opportunities and working closely with the senior management team.
Design and delivery of regulatory training tailored to meet client’s needs etc.
About you
To be considered for this position, you must demonstrate skills and experience in some of the following areas:
Proven Regulatory Reporting/Treasury experience, ideally within a Banking/Financial Services environment in industry or practice.
You have previous knowledge of regulatory reporting such as Prudential (COREP, FINREP), LCR, NSFR, ALMM, STE, Pillar III and AnaCredit returns including systems and processes normally used in the compilation and submission of European/Irish regulatory returns.
Understanding of regulatory rules and reporting requirements including Basel III, CRD/CRR, BRRD and the wider regulatory environment.
Highly motivated, with a proven ability to work on own initiative within a challenging and dynamic work environment.
Outstanding communication (both spoken and written and ability to interpret and communicate technical papers) and people skills.
Experience with data manipulation & analysis skills and techniques by means of extracting data from complex data sets and turning data into meaningful insights for stakeholders.
Ability to challenge current processes and current workflows (as well as implementing new processes to deliver new regulatory requirements) with the ability to automate or enhance these processes (by leveraging technology if applicable) to allow for more concise reporting, reducing timelines and dependencies.
Hold a relevant professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, etc.) or have extensive experience gained within a relevant business environment.
Strong IT skills (Microsoft applications - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) with understanding in the use of analytical tools (e.g. SAS, VBA, SQL) highly desirable.
