Location: Dublin, Ireland
Company: Navro – Pioneering the Future of Payments
Not Your Usual Risk Role-Shape the Future, Not Just the Framework
This isn’t just another risk position. No legacy systems. No corporate red tape. No coasting. This is about building our risk resilience from the ground up. Fast.
We’re Navro, a rapidly scaling B2B payments startup, and we’re looking for an organised, detailed, self-starter Risk Manager to spearhead our risk function and support the Chief Risk Officer. This is your chance. You’ll shape our risk landscape, embed a robust risk culture, and make decisions that ensure our sustainable growth in a regulated fintech environment.
You won’t have layers of approval slowing you down. You will have the freedom to make real, impactful decisions from day one. This isn’t a passenger role. We’re bringing you in for your expertise, and your relentless drive. You will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating key risks across the business, translating regulatory requirements (like CBI) and best practices into actionable strategies and a resilient risk framework for Navro.
Who We Are
We are transforming payments for global platforms and e-commerce businesses. As the world’s first payments curation platform, we simplify cross-border transactions by uniting best-in-class infrastructure into a seamless ecosystem, enabling businesses to scale and operate effortlessly across borders. Cross-border workforce payments are slow, expensive, and outdated. We can’t be. Businesses rely on us to pay their people accurately and on time - contractors, freelancers, and employees across the globe. When we say we’ll deliver, failure isn’t an option. If we don’t do what we said we would, people don’t get paid - not just a transaction delayed, but real workers left without wages. That means a developer in Argentina missing their paycheck, a freelancer in the Philippines unable to pay rent, or a contractor in Poland unable to get to work. No excuses. No passengers. No tolerance for politics or mediocrity.
Requirements
What This Role Demands:
- You Own It – You’re accountable for every risk assessment, every mitigation plan, and the overall effectiveness of our risk framework. If a risk materializes unexpectedly or a control fails, it’s on you to lead the response and fortify our defenses.
- You Ask the Hard Questions – You don’t just identify risks; you challenge assumptions, probe for vulnerabilities, and push for stronger controls. Why this process? What if X happens? How can we be better prepared?
- You Fix What’s Broken – No waiting for permission. If a process is clunky, a control is weak, or our framework has gaps, you dive in and architect the solution.
- You’re Hands-On – One minute you’re deep-diving regulation or crafting KRI dashboards, the next you’re training teams on new risk procedures or conducting risk assessments with business units.
- You Thrive in Chaos – Startups are dynamic. Requirements evolve, priorities shift, and ambiguity is part of the game. You bring clarity, structure, and calm to the storm without getting bogged down by rigid, old-school processes.
- You Handle the Pressure – Fast-paced. High stakes in a regulated environment. You balance multiple critical risk initiatives, manage tight timelines, and keep Navro secure and compliant.
- You’re Here for the Journey – This is career-defining. It’s hard, incredibly rewarding, and not for the faint-hearted. If you’re ready to build and grow alongside Navro, let’s create something resilient and amazing together.
What We’re Looking For:

- Influential Communicator: Excellent communication, relationship management, and influencing skills, with the ability to engage and educate stakeholders at all levels.
- Analytical & Detail-Obsessed: You don’t miss a thing. Your attention to detail, analytical prowess, and decision-making capabilities are top-notch. You can create meaningful MI.
- Independent & Resilient: Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise discretion, and work independently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborator Extraordinaire: You work seamlessly with people from different disciplines (tech, product, ops, finance, compliance) and experience levels to embed risk management effectively.
- Problem Solver: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks.

- Direct experience building and maintaining a risk management framework in a fintech startup.
- Excellent understanding of Navro's (or a similar B2B payments) business model and the fintech landscape.
