About the Sales Development Manager - Meta:
MarketStar is seeking a Sales Development Manager to lead a sales team for our client Meta. As a Sales Development Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of sales development representatives to achieve sales targets and drive Sales Qualified Opportunities. You will also serve as a point of contact for our client stakeholders and will be responsible for building and maintaining productive professional relationships. In this role, you will develop and implement strategic sales plans, analyze market trends, monitor competitor activities, and provide regular sales performance reports to senior management. You will also be responsible for managing the growth, development and mentorship of your direct reports. Effective communication, leadership, and analytical skills will be essential for success in this role.
Location: Hybrid, Leopardstown, Dublin 18 (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday in office)
What Will You Do?
- Manage client relationships and day-to-day engagement and as the main point of contact for client stakeholders
- Performance Management & Coaching:
- Lead and manage a team of Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) to consistently exceed sales targets and generate high-quality Sales Qualified Opportunities (SQOs) for Meta.
- Utilize robust reporting and data analysis to identify market trends and opportunities, informing actionable coaching plans at the individual rep level.
- Develop comprehensive individual development plans for SDRs, ensuring their continuous growth and skill enhancement, directly contributing to the overall development of our sales teams.
- Strategic Collaboration & Client Engagement:
- Act as a primary point of contact and champion for MarketStar with Meta stakeholders, building and nurturing strong, productive professional relationships.
- Demonstrate exceptional executive and stakeholder presence, communicating effectively to inspire confidence and represent MarketStar's value proposition.
- Collaborate closely with MarketStar's Senior Leadership on strategic initiatives that align with the company's overarching goals, consistently prioritizing the client's success.
- Market Analysis & Business Insight:
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans tailored to Meta's objectives, leveraging market insights and competitive intelligence.
- Continuously analyze market trends and monitor competitor activities to identify new opportunities and inform sales strategies.
- Provide regular, data-driven sales performance reports to senior management, offering insightful analysis and actionable recommendations.
- Essential Skills & Attributes:
- Proven experience in managing high-performing, results-driven sales teams.
- Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to interpret sales data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable strategies and coaching plans.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport and inspiring confidence with internal teams and external stakeholders, including senior client leadership.
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to drive strategic initiatives.
- A deep understanding of the sales development lifecycle and best practices.
What Will You Need to Succeed?
- 5 years of experience in a sales environment; experience in SaaS or tech sales preferred
- 3 years of direct leadership experience of individual contributors and / or leaders
- Experience managing client or stakeholder-based relationships
- Track record of goal attainment in a sales role or as a sales leader; experience with hybrid teams a plus
- Experience utilizing and interpreting data and reporting in a sales environment to drive performance
- Proficient understanding of technology tools including CRM and sales acceleration platforms
- Proven success working with other departments or individuals to achieve business outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to communicate professionally to a team, senior leadership, and internal resources
- History of developing and presenting business reviews in a live or virtual setting
- Demonstrated success in following, teaching, and coaching a sales process to improve the performance of others
- Understanding of project management fundamentals including time management, organizational skills, and holding others to achieving project milestones
- Aptitude for managing budgets associated with P&L and related business expenses
- Growth mindset for developing professional & personal aptitude and expertise

The pay for this position is basic salary per annum of €63,000 with an additional variable bonus component of €7,000. There are several factors to consider including but not limited to, the role’s responsibilities, experience, location, education/training, internal equity, and key skills.
