JOB DESCRIPTION
Sales Representative – Industrial wood coatings, Southern Ireland
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop sales plans, activities and manage the day-to-day activities of the respective sales territory to implement the organization’s overall sales strategy for Southern Ireland.
- Work closely with direct end users and distribution network
- Ensure that pricing is appropriate, accurate and up to date.
- Negotiate sales with existing and new customers who are of strategic importance to the organization.
- Contribute to the development of sales, marketing, customer retention, advertising, pricing, and strategies for the area of responsibility.
- Search for and create new business opportunities in accordance with business needs, potential and capacity.
- Work closely with technical team for trials and trouble shooting.
- Establish and maintain excellent relations with key decision makers.
- Assists with credit management.
- Identify and develop new business through planned prospecting.
- Report daily on work activity neatly, precisely and on time.
- Report promptly competitor activity, market trends, price surveys and new product development in the marketplace monthly.
- Participate in relevant trade shows, or functions as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 5 years’ sales experience
- Full clean driving license with the ability to travel 80% of the time
- Dynamic and results oriented
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in relevant Science subject, or Diploma in Paint Technology.
- Experience from coatings industry, Knowledge of industrial application equipment, knowledge of kitchen cabinet and exterior joinery sectors. Technical mindset to support sales on portfolio of products
