Role Purpose

We are looking for a Scrum Master to join our team.


The Scrum Master is responsible for enabling Agile ways of working across multiple software development teams with varying levels of Scrum maturity. The role ensures Agile ceremonies are run effectively, facilitates backlog and sprint management in Azure DevOps, and supports continuous improvement. The Scrum Master will also assist with risk tracking and reporting to IT leadership, fostering greater transparency, accountability, and delivery consistency across teams.


Accountabilities of the Role

  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives across multiple teams.

  • Coach teams on Agile and Scrum best practices, adapting guidance to the maturity and structure of each team.

  • Drive backlog refinement and prioritization in collaboration with Product Owners, Architects, and Team Leads.

  • Monitor sprint progress, identify blockers, and work with stakeholders to resolve issues.

  • Promote consistency in task detail, estimation, and completion across all Azure DevOps boards.

  • Partner with Team Leads and Architects to improve board hygiene and accountability within DevOps.

  • Track delivery risks, impediments, and dependencies across teams, escalating where appropriate.

  • Produce regular reports on sprint progress, team velocity, and risks.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and ownership.

  • Support team autonomy by encouraging responsible self-management and knowledge sharing.

Skills, Experience and Behavioural Competencies Required


Skills Required

  • Strong understanding of Scrum and Agile frameworks.

  • Excellent facilitation, coaching, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work across multiple teams with different working styles and maturity levels.

  • Proficiency in Azure DevOps for task and sprint management.

  • Organizational awareness and the ability to influence.

  • Strong problem-solving and risk management skills.

  • Comfortable working in hybrid teams involving development, BAU, support across a broad ecosystem of technologies.

Experience Required

  • 3 to 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Delivery Lead, preferably in a multi-team environment.

  • Experience working with software development teams across both modern and legacy platforms.

  • Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps or similar Agile project management tools.

  • Proven track record of helping teams improve Agile practices and delivery consistency.

  • Experience supporting BAU and production support teams alongside development projects is an advantage.

  • Familiarity with risk tracking and delivery reporting to leadership stakeholders.
