Within FinOps, the Accounting Operations designs and governs optimal and compliant accounting processes to accelerate business transformation.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Finance Manager with a strong track record in operational excellence and transformation.
As a key member of the Global Accounting Operations Team, you will lead the end-to-end design, deployment, and governance of autonomous AI agents that execute finance-related Statements of Work (SOWs) with deterministic outcomes. Your role will be pivotal in embedding agentic automation into core financial processes—driving accuracy, compliance, and measurable performance improvements.
Success in this role requires exceptional communication and analytical skills, a challenger mindset, and the ability to collaborate across teams with confidence and agility. You will be expected to align stakeholders in a fast-paced global environment and relentlessly pursue optimal outcomes. Your expertise in process optimisation will be instrumental in helping the organisation achieve its strategic goals.

Responsibilities

  • Define and communicate the strategic business case for agentic AI in finance.
  • Align AI initiatives with organisational goals, including cost centre optimisation and transaction reduction targets.
  • Lead the design and implementation of AI agents capable of decomposing SOWs into executable steps with deterministic outcomes.
  • Oversee the integration of reusable AI skills and workflows into finance systems
  • Ensure robust governance, including human-in-the-loop oversight, auditability, and compliance with financial reporting standards and data protection regulations.
  • Promote AI literacy and responsible automation across the finance function.
  • Build and deploy continuous improvement methodologies to achieve targeted deliverables.
  • Facilitate process execution with a clear end-to-end view of expected business outcomes.
  • Manage stakeholder engagement, resolve challenges, and sustain improvements through effective change management.
  • Guide teams in implementing agentic solutions for complex processes, maintaining documentation for flows, controls, systems, and requirements.
  • Partner with engineering teams to design and execute agentic models.
  • Assess performance data, interpret analysis, and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Use data to identify opportunities, communicate results, and drive future process improvements.
  • Engage in continuous learning of Microsoft services, products, infrastructure, and operations.
  • Translate insights into actionable enhancements.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field and extensive finance or process transformation experience
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Experience with governance, compliance, and risk management in financial environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience implementing either individually or as part of a team operational processes, systems and controls.
  • Strong understanding of AI technologies, agentic systems, and deterministic workflows.
  • Proven experience in finance operations, ideally within a transformation or automation context.
  • Accounting Qualification.
  • Lean / Six sigma.
  • Master’s degree in Finance or related field.
This role required the successful candidate to be based in the Microsoft office 3-4 days per week.
