MongoDB is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Manager of Global Travel, Card, and Expense to lead and transform our company's entire travel and expense ecosystem. This role is responsible for overseeing our new company liability credit card program, managing all aspects of our global travel program, and leading our expense audit process. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of card programs, a proven track record in global travel management, and expertise in expense compliance and auditing. This role requires a hands-on leader who can manage a diverse team, drive change, and operate effectively in a fast-paced, complex, and global environment. As a key member of the Source-to-Pay leadership team, you will be called upon to fly at different altitudes to help executives and individual contributors make better decisions.

Key Responsibilities: What You'll Be Doing
Credit Card Program Management:
- Lead the strategic design, implementation, and ongoing management of our new company pay liability credit card program (Brex)
- Develop and enforce all policies and procedures related to card issuance, usage, and termination
- Partner with our card provider to optimize the platform, manage account relationships, and leverage data analytics for program insights
- Implement and manage card controls, spending limits, and real-time alerts to ensure policy compliance and prevent misuse
- Oversee fraud prevention, investigation, and dispute resolution processes for all card transactions
- Serve as the primary subject matter expert and change leader for the new card program, driving adoption and providing training to employees
Global Travel Program Management:
- Manage all facets of the global travel program for an enterprise of over 5,000 employees, including policy development, vendor relationships, and technology platform oversight
- Negotiate and manage contracts with airlines, hotels, car rental companies, and global travel management companies (TMCs) to optimize costs and enhance traveler experience
- Continuously analyze travel data and market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and refine travel policies
- Ensure the safety and security of all business travelers by integrating with travel risk management platforms and providing clear communication protocols
- Act as the key business partner to internal stakeholders, including executive leadership, procurement, finance, and human resources, to align travel policies with business needs
- Oversee the travel analyst team, providing guidance and mentorship on vendor management, data analysis, and program improvements
Expense Audit Process Management:
- Own the end-to-end expense audit process, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency
- Lead the Manager of Expense Audit and their team, providing strategic direction on audit scope, methodologies, and reporting
- Leverage AI-powered audit software (e.g., AppZen, Oversight) to identify high-risk transactions, detect fraud, and automate the audit process
- Develop and implement a robust system for tracking policy violations, managing exceptions, and providing a clear audit trail
- Collaborate with internal audit, compliance, and tax teams to ensure the expense program meets all regulatory and internal control requirements (e.g., SOX)
- Provide regular, data-driven insights and reporting on expense spend, policy compliance rates, and audit findings to senior management
Qualifications: What We'll Need to See
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in travel, card, and expense management, with at least 5 years in a senior managerial role at a large, global enterprise (5,000+ employees)
- Certified Corporate Travel Executive, CCTE
- Demonstrated expertise in implementing and managing corporate credit card programs, preferably with a company pay liability model
- Strong experience in global travel management, including negotiating with and managing a full suite of travel vendors (airlines, hotels, TMCs)
- Proven experience in managing a team, including both direct reports and managers, with a focus on mentorship and professional development
- Deep knowledge of expense audit processes, policy compliance, and fraud detection
- Experience with and a strong understanding of modern T&E technology platforms (e.g., Concur, Brex, Ramp) and AI-powered audit tools (e.g., AppZen, Oversight)
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with competing priorities
