Join our team! We're building a world where Identity belongs to you.

The Senior Payroll Analyst, EMEA will be a critical member of our payroll team, responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for our employees across a complex and diverse region. This role requires deep expertise in multi-country payroll regulations, strong vendor management skills, and a passion for process improvement. You will act as a subject matter expert for the countries you support, ensuring compliance with all local statutory requirements.

The scope of this role covers payroll operations in Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.

What you'll be doing

  • End-to-End Payroll Management: Oversee and manage the complete payroll cycle for multiple EMEA countries in partnership with our external payroll vendors. This includes data collection, validation, processing, and final payment execution.
  • Compliance and Governance: Ensure all payroll operations are fully compliant with country-specific tax laws, social security regulations, and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Vendor Partnership: Serve as the primary point of contact for our in-country payroll providers. Manage vendor performance against Service Level Agreements (SLAs), lead regular operational calls, and resolve escalated issues.
  • Reconciliation and Reporting: Perform monthly and year-end payroll reconciliations, including General Ledger (GL) accounts, payroll taxes, and social security contributions. Prepare and analyse management reports on payroll costs, headcount, and key metrics.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with HR, Finance, and Legal teams to ensure seamless data flow and process alignment. Serve as a trusted advisor on all payroll-related matters for the region.
  • Employee Support: Act as a point of escalation for complex employee payroll queries, providing clear, concise, and timely resolutions.
  • Process Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to enhance payroll processes, improve efficiency, and strengthen controls. Lead and participate in regional and global payroll projects, such as system implementations or vendor transitions.
  • Audits: Prepare documentation and provide support for internal and external audits (e.g., SOX, financial audits, and regulatory notices).

What you'll bring to the role

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience managing multi-country payroll, with specific experience in several of the countries listed (e.g., UK, Ireland, Israel, Poland, etc.).
  • Irish Payroll Qualification (IPASS) or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • In-depth knowledge of EMEA payroll and employment tax regulations.
  • Proven experience managing third-party payroll vendors.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, formulas).
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

And extra credit if you have experience in any of the following!

  • Experience with a major HRIS/Payroll system such as Workday, SAP, or ADP GlobalView.
  • Experience with equity-based compensation (e.g., RSUs, Stock Options, and ESPP).
  • Fluency in an additional European language (e.g., French, German, Spanish).
  • Experience participating in payroll system implementation projects.
