We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior MEP Planner to join our dynamic team in Dublin. This is a full-time, permanent position offering the opportunity to lead planning efforts on complex mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) projects across a diverse portfolio. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping project delivery strategies, driving performance, and ensuring excellence in execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of the planning and scheduling of all MEP works across multiple projects, ensuring alignment with overall construction timelines and business objectives.
- Develop detailed, integrated project programs that encompass design, procurement, installation, commissioning, and handover phases. Ensure all critical path activities are identified and tracked.
- Work closely with project managers, design teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure planning milestones are met and project goals are achieved. Act as a key liaison for all MEP scheduling matters.
- Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, identify delays or deviations, and implement corrective actions. Provide clear, data-driven reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Oversee the allocation and utilization of resources including labor, materials, and equipment. Ensure resource planning is efficient and supports timely project delivery.
- Proactively identify scheduling risks and constraints related to MEP works. Develop and implement mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and budgets.
- Maintain comprehensive records of schedule changes, scope adjustments, and planning decisions. Ensure transparency and traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
- Champion best practices in planning and scheduling. Mentor junior planners and contribute to the development of planning standards and tools within the organization.
Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years' experience in construction planning, with a strong focus on MEP systems.
- Proven track record of delivering complex MEP projects in a senior planning capacity.
- Proficiency in planning software such as Primavera P6, Asta Powerproject, or MS Project.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and resource management.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline preferred.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
