THE ROLE
The Senior Stores Operative will support the Branch Network in enhancing our Stores, Tools and Logistics activities across the business. The Senior Stores Operative will have overall responsibility for the warehouse and the associated inbound and outbound Logistics, fleet management, supporting the tools and stores functions where required, and ad hoc deliveries and collections.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Loading and offloading of delivery truck.
- Picking of materials for multiple branches.
- Cycle counts on all stock items and reporting shortages/potential shortages back to management.
- Responsibility for daily requests via the internal system.
- Manage any stock returns
- Manage fleet – ensure mandatory legal obligations are satisfactory at all times.
- Arrange Servicing, DOE, Tax and Insurance Compliance in conjunction with branch requirements and update the National Fleet Database.
- Proactively engage in all quality initiatives while ensuring best practice standards are promoted and maintained.
- Ensure all written documentation is accurate, timely and legible, keeping all records up to date at all times.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
- Full Clean driving licence.
- Forklift/Counter balance experience.
- Working experience of inbound and outbound logistics.
- Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Ability to work independently, multi-task and problem solve.
- Excellent time management, attention to detail, and reliability skills.
- 3+ years’ experience in similar role.
DESIRABLE CRITERIA
- Manual Handling Certified.
- First Aid & Fire Warden Certified.
