We are currently looking for Experience Stock Controller to join our team in Kilkenny.
Responsibilities
1. Parts Procurement & Supplier Management
Order and maintain stock for preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
Establish and manage supplier relationships to optimize price, delivery, and service.
Process purchase orders and track deliveries to meet workshop schedules.
2. Inventory Control
Set up and maintain a reliable inventory system tailored to commercial vehicle parts.
Perform routine stock checks and manage reordering cycles.
Maintain accurate records of stock locations and part classifications.
3. Cost Control & Budgeting
Track part usage by job card and vehicle to ensure cost transparency.
Provide monthly reports on inventory value, usage trends, and budget performance.
Assist management in identifying cost reduction and efficiency opportunities.
4. Workshop Coordination
Liaise with technicians and supervisors to forecast parts demand.
Assemble and issue parts kits in line with the workshop schedule.
Respond to urgent part requests to minimize vehicle downtime.
5. System Management & Reporting
Use garage management software to log purchases, issues, and stock adjustments.
Maintain a digital catalogue of parts with technical specifications and sourcing information.
Generate performance reports on supplier delivery, pricing trends, and stock turnover.
Candidate Profile
Essential:
At least 2 years of experience in a parts or inventory management role, preferably in the automotive or commercial vehicle sector.
Strong working knowledge of stock control systems and procurement practices.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work in a high-paced environment with multiple priorities.
