Language Learning International (LLI) provides Academic Year programmes for foreign students ( 12 yrs-17 yrs ) who are enrolled in Irish Secondary schools for this upcoming academic year.
The students attend different Secondary schools throughout Ireland and live with a local host family. We are looking for outgoing, friendly mature individuals to join our team of Local Co-Ordinators as a Student Co-Ordinator in North Dublin (Swords & Baldoyle). Your role will be to support the students during their stay by helping them adapt to life in Ireland and integrating well into their school. You will visit your students once a month and will also keep in regular contact with them by text. This is a part time position and would suit someone who is not seeking a full time job. It will suit someone who enjoys working with teenagers and who has flexible working hours.
Responsibilities
- Carry out monthly visits to the students alternating between their host family and their secondary school
- Provide monthly reports to LLI regarding the student's progress
- Attend annual parent teacher meeting in the school
- Provide ongoing guidance and support to the students including guidance finding work experience for students who are in Transition Year
- Support your students to enrol in extra curricular activities they express an interest in such as sports, drama or swimming.
Qualifications
- Outgoing, warm and friendly
- Own car with Full Driver's Licence
- Live in or around the following area - North Dublin (Swords & Baldoyle)
- Experience in working with Teenagers an advantage.
- Familiar with Irish Education system.
