Destiny Student specializes in offering summer tourist accommodation in student buildings across the UK and Ireland. We are recognized for maintaining
high standards throughout our business operations. Our commitment revolves around providing value-for-money accommodation and friendly service to our customers. During the three months of summer, we transform purpose-built student accommodations into a pop-up hotel/hostel service, hosting tens of thousands of guests. Responsibilities:


As an Accommodation Assistant, your role encompasses a range of responsibilities vital for a seamless operation of your assigned building and to guarantee an exceptional experience for our guests. Key responsibilities include:


1. Housekeeping:
Shift duties encompass precisely managing linen deliveries, making and stripping beds, supporting the team in cleaning rooms and bathrooms, as well as assisting in the cleaning of common areas and kitchens. Collaboratively, the team ensures all guest departures are thoroughly cleaned and prepared for upcoming arrivals. You will also need to report for housekeeping to respond to any guest complaints after HK hours.
You may occasionally be required to assist with minor maintenance tasks, such as unblocking toilets or showers, outside of standard maintenance hours.


2. Guest Relations:
Handling guest inquiries, resolving issues, and actively seeking opportunities to enhance guest satisfaction.


3. Logging & Reporting:
Accurately completing all required reports, including handovers, maintenance, guest interactions, lost property, and other relevant documentation.


4. Building Setup & Breakdown Management:

Assist with the setup and dismantling of the building for customer arrivals and departures.


5. Health and Safety Compliance:
Adhering to health and safety regulations and maintaining a secure environment for guests and other staff.


Requirements:


This role demands strong team collaboration and interpersonal skills.

Strong English language skills in speaking, reading, and writing is necessary. We welcome candidates aiming to improve their English further and value proficiency in languages such as Spanish, Italian, French, German, Cantonese, among others.


Above all, we are seeking individuals with the right attitude, as we believe essential skills can be taught and developed on the job.

Schedule:


This is a zero-hour fixed term contract but you can expect to work no less than 24 hours a week . Regular working hours are 25-35 hours per week.


Shift Work:
Your work schedule will be provided to you by your manager at least a week in advance. You will
be required to work a variety of shift times as needed including night shifts.


Weekend Availability:
As part of our operational needs, we require candidates with availability during weekends. This ensures coverage and contributes to the smooth functioning of our operations. Your flexibility is appreciated in maintaining the quality of service we provide throughout the week, including weekends.
