We are looking for a supervisor/barista !
The role will include preparing and serving hot and cold beverages and food
This supervisor position will include overseeing the productivity, and training of a small team, to ensure the day to day running of the site is completed to a high standard, providing high quality food & beverages. This role requires the ability to understand the products, be passionate, and driven, to ensure the day to day sales are maximised, the products are consistently prepped and served to a high standard, that the sites are fully food safety & hygiene compliant.
Managing staff rotas, and being able to coordinate a team to ensure the expectations are met and exceeded.
To be successful in this role, you should have customer service skills and knowledge of how brewing equipment operates. You should be able to work various shifts, including weekends. You need to be motivated, and driven, to be able to motivate the team and overall, impact the day to day running of the site in a positive way.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers as they enter
- Take orders while paying attention to details (e.g. preferences of coffee blend, dairy and sugar ratios)
- Prepare & serve beverages and prepared food, like cookies, pastries and muffins, breakfast, sandwiches etc.
- Receive and process payments (cash and card)
- Keep the area clean
- Maintain stock of crockery, glassware etc.
- Stock management of bar stock, and confidence in placing orders.
- Check if brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs
- Comply with health and safety regulations
- Communicate customer feedback to managers and recommend new menu items.
- Coordinate, and manage staff rotas, and hours (Understanding the need to stay within certain margins for profitability etc, without compromising service).
Skills & Requirements
- Previous work experience as a Barista is required
- Previous experience in a supervisory position is required.
- Familiarity with speciality coffee drinks ingredients is a must.
- Knowledge of cleanliness regulations is a plus
- Good time management - please note this'll require early starts, and later finishes, including weekend work.
- Ability to gauge customers’ preferences
- Excellent communication skills
- Be friendly & approachable.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: €12.75-€16.90 per hour
Expected hours: 18 – 30 per week
