The Osprey Hotel Leisure Club are currently recruiting for a Part Time Swimming Teacher to join the team.

This is your place. The Osprey Hotel, located in Naas, Co. Kildare is just 35 minutes from Dublin City and close to all major routes. The Hotel comprises of the four-star contemporary styled 108 bedroom Osprey Hotel, Spa, Conference Centre, Business Campus, Osprey Leisure and the Herald & Devoy Restaurant.
We are delighted to announce our €1 million new conference suite which was designed by celebrity architect and star of RTE’s ‘Home of the Year’, Hugh Wallace. The ballroom has been completely revamped into an elegant and contemporary multi-functional space. This stunning room can accommodate 400 guests for a theatre style conference or up to 320 at round table for weddings and everything else in between with it’s versatile design and functionality.
Our gorgeous spa includes 6 individual treatment rooms, a couples' treatment room, light and dark relaxation rooms, nail bar, 3 pedicure stations and dedicated beauty rooms for waxing, tinting and tanning. Some of our other fantastic spa features include the rain shower, seaweed baths, dry flotation, rasul, hot tub and heated relaxation beds.

The Role
Working as part of the Leisure Club team you will be responsible for delivering high quality, professional swimming coaching, teaching and instruction to groups and individuals.
About The Role
What's involved in the role:
- Deliver effective swimming lessons and instruction programmes including group lessons, one on one lessons and teaching baby and toddler swim.
- To develop and implement lesson plans.
- Observe participants and inform them of corrective measures necessary for skill improvement.
- Teach proper breathing techniques used during physical exertion.
- Work alongside the swimming co-ordinator, other swimming teachers/coaches, lifeguards,
- To develop positive relationships with swimmers and parents/guardians; be a positive role model, creating a positive and fun environment in which to motivate and encourage individuals to participate.
- To update and record the swimmers progress on a weekly basis.
- To be committed to continuous professional development relevant to the position.
- Cleaning and tidying all areas and facilities, including pool areas, changing rooms and toilets.
- Swimming pool maintenance and safety.
A person who will be suited to this role will have:
- Swim Ireland Level 1 or Level 2 Swimming Instructors Qualification or equivalent (Level 2 qualification is desirable).
- Irish Water Safety Pool Lifeguard Qualification desirable.
- Prior experience of swimming teaching and pool supervision in a similar sports or leisure facility.
- Previous experience teaching Babies & Toddlers
- First Aid / AED trained.
- Pool Plant Operator certificate would be an advantage.
- NCEF qualification or the equivalent is essential..
- Good communication skills, and fluency in English.
