Key Responsibilities:
Key responsibilities of the SM API Site Planning Lead are the following:
- Lead a team of site-based Planners who are responsible for Detailed Scheduling, Release Planning and Order Management activities
- Mentor the DSS planning team to set up a balanced detailed schedule optimizing operations efficiency, inventory cost and reliable supply. You are accountable for the team results and objectives
- Bring innovative solutions, continuous process improvements to improve transactions and inter-connections.
- Prepare and own the KPI’s such as plan attainment, schedule attainment, material readiness for the site to align with the internal partners to meet customer requirements. You and your team translate the master plan into a feasible detailed schedule on the short term horizon (0-13 weeks).
- Collaborate with other functional teams as appropriate to proactively resolve constraints such as capacity conflicts or material shortages.
- Collaborate with leadership to support the financial and decision-making processes as appropriate.
- Coach and lead the order management team to ensure correct and timely order handling of the APIs and intermediates to the internal, external and trade network
- Ensure oversight of the daily operational tasks in the Order To Invoice flow such as order generation, delivery note creation, invoice creation and collaboration with warehouse and Deliver organization
- Ensure oversight of the monthly financial close out process to ensure accurate and timely close out in support of the finance team
- Ensure that appropriate metrics and targets are established, monitored and met, including timely shipment of the product portfolio to achieve a reliable supply chain
- Engage with the MPS Planning Team to set up and monitor a balanced master plan for the site, optimizing operations efficiency, inventory cost and reliable supply. You are accountable for the team results and objectives.
- Bring innovative solutions, continuous process improvements to improve transactions and inter-connections.
- Prepare and own the monthly site review meeting to align with partners, internally and externally to meet customer requirements. You and your team interpret demand and inventory requirements to build and maintain the Busines Plan within capacity constraints.
- Collaborate with Drug Product sites and other functional teams as appropriate to proactively resolve supply issues and/or plan conflicts.
- Collaborate with leadership to support the financial and decision-making processes as appropriate.
- Communicate supply issues pro-actively and well balanced.
- Further develop the capabilities of your team through performance reviews, succession planning and connecting them within the network to further refine their development plans including cross-platform, cross-sector, and cross functional groups career paths
Qualifications
Education:
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree (or University equivalent) is required. Advanced degree is preferred. APICS Certification is preferred
- Knowledge of SAP/OMP highly preferable
Experience and Skills:
- A minimum 5 years of related experience in Planning, Manufacturing and/or Logistics for health care industry required
- Engaging and inclusive people leader
- Ability to partner with and influence others without direct authority
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives and work in a matrix environment
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, excellent communication and presentation abilities is required
