Proudly serving the Naas community, we are seeking a Trainee Managers to join our team! You will work closely with the General and Assistant Manager to help us grow the business to the next level.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in Musgrave branded grocery retailers (Centra/Supervalu) and has a keen attention for detail when it comes to the fresh food offering and general store activities.
Main purpose of the role:
Ensure the store operates efficiently and effectively and provide our customers with the very best customer service and fresh food offering at all times in a clean, safe environment. To deliver on key store targets (sales and profitability) through effective management of people and operation.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- 2 years experience in a Supervalu/Centra and familiarity is necessary.
- Experience with ambient and chill ordering for high footfall store.
- PA promotional planning, ordering and on-site execution.
- Working with central billing reps to extract best deals, contributing to and growing margin targets.
- Staff management, training and encouragement. We prefer a team leader who can encourage positivity while offering constructive feedback when needed. Upskilling existing staff and working efficiently to seize the day.
- Deli experience is a plus, but not necessary
- Flexibility with working hours. We are a weekend and evening business! You could be rostered for opening at 7am, or closing at 10pm/Midnight.

- Implement planograms correctly and ensure the correct range is in place in store
- Merchandise and present the store to the highest standard
- Approachable and a role model who leads by example and encourages teamwork and fosters a positive attitude and atmosphere in the workplace
- Ability to develop and promote good communication between employees and management in a safe, respectful and inclusive environment
- Support Store Manager in the development and training of the team and in ensuring the smooth running of the store
- Manage employee performance, giving regular feedback, recognition and encouragement
- Deal with all customer queries efficiently, professionally and consistent with store policies
- Understand achieving margins in all departments
- Engage with new initiatives and embrace new ways of working.
