As one of Ireland’s leading Retrofit One Stop Shop Service providers, Churchfield Home Services is seeking to recruit a professional Training Specialist lead join our team in our main office in Crossmolina, Co Mayo. The successful candidate must have previous experience and a proven track record in development and implementation of training content ideally in a construction, retrofit or other industry relevant sector.
The ideal candidate must have strong communication and interpersonal skills, experience in training or education, and a solid understanding of adult learning principles. They also need to be proficient in using Learning Management Systems (LMS), AI content development tools and have a good grasp of various teaching methods.
This is a full time; permanent position that provides an excellent opportunity to someone seeking to further develop their career in an exciting, expanding retrofit sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Needs Assessment: Identify the training and development needs of employees and the organisation as a whole.
- Program Development: Design and develop training programs, including curriculum, materials, and delivery methods (e.g., e-learning, workshops, on-the-job training).
- Implementation: Oversee the implementation of training programs, ensuring they are delivered effectively and reach the target audience.
- Evaluation: Assess the effectiveness of training programs, using various methods like assessments, feedback, and performance tracking.
- Collaboration: Work with various departments and stakeholders to align training with organisational goals and needs.
- Customisation: Tailor training materials and programs to meet the specific needs of different trainee groups.
- Documentation: Maintain documentation of training programs, procedures, and assessments.
- Staying Current: Keep up-to-date with the latest training technologies and best practices.
Candidate Requirement:
- Technical proficiency: Knowledge of training delivery platforms and tools.
- Industry knowledge: Understanding of construction/retrofit industry and their unique training needs.
- Communication and interpersonal skills: Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders and trainees.
- Organisational and time management skills: Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Problem-solving skills: Ability to identify and address issues within training programs.
- Teaching and facilitation skills: Ability to effectively deliver training sessions and engage learners.

Core package includes:
- €35,000 - €60,000 DOE
- Full time
- Immediate start
- 8.00am – 5.00pm Monday – Thursday
- 8.00am – 4.00pm Friday
