Job Title: Van Driver (Retail Support & Logistics)
Location: North Dublin (Dublin 7 - Dublin 15), with travel between multiple sites
Hours: Full-time (Monday–Friday, with occasional weekend availability)

Respect is a national fundraising foundation that supports Avista in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with intellectual disabilities. Through innovative projects and a strong community of supporters, we support and fund projects to improve the lives of the people whom Avista supports. Our retail shops play a vital role in generating funds to support this mission - and we’re looking for a dedicated Van Driver to help keep our retail operations running smoothly.
Role Overview
We are seeking a reliable and proactive Van Driver to support our retail and logistics operations. This role involves transporting stock between Respect’s shops and warehouse, ensuring deliveries and collections are conducted efficiently and safely, and maintaining an organised and well-managed warehouse. The role requires a strong commitment to time management, communication, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Organise, manage, and maintain the Respect warehouse in a clean, safe, and efficient manner.
- Collect stock from Respect’s charity shops and deliver it to other locations as required.
- Coordinate and carry out occasional stock collections from donor or customer locations.
- Load and unload stock with care, ensuring correct documentation is completed.
- Liaise with shop managers and the Retail Manager to coordinate daily driving schedules and respond to priority tasks.
- Carry out regular checks on the Respect van to ensure it is roadworthy and well-maintained.
- Represent Respect professionally at all times, acting as an ambassador when dealing with the public.
Essential Requirements
- A valid C1 driving licence.
- Proven experience in a similar driving or logistics role.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with shop teams and other stakeholders.
- A flexible and can-do attitude with a willingness to support a growing retail operation.
- A good understanding of health and safety procedures, particularly manual handling.
Desirable Attributes
- Knowledge of the North Dublin area and surrounding routes.
- Experience working with charity retail or logistics in a not-for-profit setting.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: €14.75 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 35 per week
