Essential Job Functions
- Supervises planned layout of warehouse and other storage areas, considering turnover, size, weight, and related factors of items stored.
- Participates in the recruitment of employees for the warehouse.
- To manage the operation in accordance and compliance with SOPs and to improve these procedures as needed.
- Ensuring the operational resources are always sufficient to deliver a high level of service without allowing reduced efficiency
- Ensure all complaints, issues, failures are followed up rapidly, all the stakeholders are communicated, and all details are documented.
- Oversee regular maintenance of equipment and machinery.
- Ensures planning, direction, scheduling, and assignment of jobs for warehouse staff.
- Advises employees on care and preservation of items received, stored, and shipped; methods and use of equipment in handling, storing, maintaining, and shipping stock; and related problems.
- Coordinates work activities of warehouse operations with other departments to ensure better efficiency and cohesion.
- Oversees cost control measures to strengthen gross profit and contribution.
- Maintains operational reliability of warehouse equipment and company assets.
- Act as escalation contact for any operational issues within the station's operations.
- Train employees on job specific duties and develops employees through coaching
- Make suggestions and show initiative for process improvements.
- Effectively communicate with clients, vendors and employees.
- Promotes, monitors and maintains best practice in Health, Safety, Quality and Security with their Team(s).

Physical Requirments
- Stand or sit for long periods of time
- Reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch and frequently required to climb or balance
- Regularly lift and/or move 50 pounds with hand truck/pallet jack and occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds by hand

- Comfortable with managing people, plans, budgets and reporting
- SAP experience is a preference for this role.
- Working knowledge of safety and security procedure
Education & Experience
- 3 or more years of experience with warehouse work.
- 2 or more years of supervisory or management experience
- Comfort and aptitude for technology and in particular WMS systems
- Experience of implementing warehouse SOPs
