The Warehouse Operative / Driver is responsible for the intake, processing, pick, pack, and dispatch of goods in accordance with company policy, customer requirements, and health and safety standards.
Driving from our warehouse to our showroom to replenish stock.
Boxes weigh up to 100KG so must have the ability to adjust on Sac trucks.
What you can expect in this role:
Trailer Services:
- Loading stock onto delivery vehicles, ensuring and checking procedures are adhered to.
- Unloading stock and placing into correct areas for put away.
- Checking goods in and goods out for accuracy as per customer orders
- Reporting faults, damages, or errors to the supervisor on duty immediately.
- Completion of appropriate paperwork at each stage.
Logistics:
- Pick, pack, and preparation of goods for shipment as communicated by logistics coordinator in accordance with customer specifications.
- Driving a van to our courier service with orders pre packed
- Stock put away / driving to our Finglas & Kildare stores with stock
- Replenishment of pick faces as necessary in warehouse & Showroom
- Conduct regular cycle counts, and assist Stock Controller with stock takes.
- Communicate issues with supervisor and logistics coordinator to ensure quality of shipments.
- Adhere to quality control procedures to ensure pick accuracy.
- Loading empty cardboard boxes into bins.
Health and Safety:
- Supporting the health and safety of oneself and others through strict adherence to company policy.
- Safe operation of Material Handling Equipment and warehouse machinery.
- Immediate reporting of accidents, incidents, near misses or health and safety concerns, and cooperating with investigations into same.
Administration and Communication
- Maintaining communication with Freight, Logistics, and Transport departments to ensure smooth flow of information through the business.
- Understand warehouse layout and processes and communicate suggestions for improvement.
- Complete and process necessary paperwork accurately and timely.
- Respond quickly, professionally, and accurately to customer inquiries regarding orders, status complaints etc.
- Respond quickly to stock requests for our showroom
- Cooperate with investigations by Logistics and Quality Departments to satisfy customer inquiries
What you'll bring:
- 3 years proven experience in similar role.
- Full clean B / C driving licence (Essential)
- Previous experience driving a Van / box body vehicle
- Previous experience using material handling equipment such as forklifts preferred.
- Valid forklift license essential
- Excellent attention to detail.).
- Computer-competent with a working knowledge of logistics software/warehouse management systems.
- Strong organisational skills and coordination abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Keen on working in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to manoeuvre boxes up to 100kg
Job Type: Full-time Tuesday - Saturday
Pay: €17- €20 per hour
Expected hours: 39 per week
