We are now seeking an experienced and motivated Accommodation Manager to lead our accommodation team and uphold our high standards.
Job Summary
As Accommodation Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the cleanliness, maintenance, and overall presentation of all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. You will lead a team to deliver high-quality service, ensure guest satisfaction, and maintain the highest hygiene and operational standards. While primarily supervisory, this role may also require hands-on room servicing during low occupancy periods.
Key Responsibilities Housekeeping & Maintenance Operations
- Ensure all rooms, public areas, and facilities are clean, well-maintained, and guest-ready.
- Coordinate daily room availability and discrepancies with Reception.
- Monitor VIP, long-stay, and repeat guest requirements to ensure personalized service.
- Enforce proper Lost & Found and key control procedures.
- Minimize utility usage while maintaining comfort and safety standards.
- Oversee preventive maintenance schedules for all hotel areas and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with statutory inspections and maintain accurate records.
- Liaise closely with the Front Office regarding room status, guest requests, and arrivals.
Team Management & Training
- Lead, train, and develop the accommodation team to deliver exceptional service.
- Identify training needs and implement ongoing learning opportunities.
- Recognize talent and assist with employee development and career progression.
- Encourage motivation, teamwork, and a positive work environment.
Health, Safety & Hygiene
- Promote and ensure compliance with health & safety procedures across the department.
- Monitor hazards and ensure emergency and fire procedures are known and practiced.
- Maintain high standards of personal and team hygiene.
- Ensure all team members are properly trained on safety-related matters.
General Duties
- Ensure all team members wear clean, professional uniforms.
- Attend meetings, training sessions, and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Address guest requests courteously and efficiently.
- Uphold hotel policies and procedures, including financial, sales, and operational standards.
- Promote hotel facilities and services to guests.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a similar Accommodation/Housekeeping management role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
- Knowledge of housekeeping systems and health & safety regulations.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
- Proficient in English, both spoken and written.
