The Accommodation Porter is responsible for assisting guests with their luggage, escorting guests to their rooms, and providing excellent customer service. The Accommodation Porter is the first point of contact for guests upon arrival and must ensure that guests feel welcome and comfortable during their stay. The Accommodation Porter reports to the Accommodation Supervisor and works closely with the front desk and housekeeping staff to ensure a seamless guest experience.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests upon arrival and assist them with their luggage.
  • Escort guests to their rooms and familiarize them with the amenities and features of the accommodation.
  • Respond to guest inquiries and provide information about the accommodation and surrounding area.
  • Assist guests with any special requests or needs, such as room service or transportation.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the lobby, entrance, and other common areas.
  • Assist with the stripping of beds, cleaning rooms and carrying laundry to the pantries
  • Stocking and clearing of the pantries
  • Delivery of guest amenities to rooms
  • Work closely with the front desk staff to ensure a seamless check-in and check-out process.
  • Provide excellent customer service to guests, anticipating their needs and ensuring their satisfaction.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Accommodation Supervisor.


Qualifications:

  • Leaving cert or equivalent is required.
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, staff, and management.
  • Knowledge of the local area and tourist attractions.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Customer service oriented, with a positive attitude and a willingness to go above and beyond to ensure guest satisfaction.
