SUMMARY OF DUTIES
Responsible for tracking fixed assets, costing products and reviewing accounts receivable balances.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Processes state sales tax returns.
- Review and reconcile sales tax accounts for accuracy in the general ledger.
- Coordinates proper documentation for non-taxable customers.
- Reconciles bank accounts to the general ledger.
- Assist in closing financial records.
- Reconciles general ledger accounts.
- Review financial statements for accuracy.
- Assist in costing new products.
- Capitalize assets in financial records.
- Responds to government statistical reporting.
- Assist in special financial analysis projects.
- Performs a variety of other accounting tasks, as required.
SUMMARY OF MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Education and/or experience equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
- Qualified ACA/ACCA Accountant.
- A minimum of one year of responsible accounting experience.
- A broad knowledge of accounting and financial control principles and their business applications.
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail in performing accounting tasks.
- Demonstrated human relations and effective written/verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively as a member of a team.
- Demonstrated computer skills, preferably spreadsheet, word processing database, and other applicable software programs.
- Ability to work well with others in performing a variety of accounting tasks.
