A Day in The Life Of:
Reporting to the Accounting Manager of GOSC SSC Galway, this position requires the person to work on one’s own initiative and requires flexibility to be involved in multiple areas of the Finance function. Your main responsibilities in this role will be:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to transition work to RTR SSC in Galway.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance quality and efficiency.
- Designs, modifies, installs, and/or maintains accounting systems to ensure an adequate recognition of financial transactions.
- Ensure compliance and adherence with relevant accounting standards and policies.
- Responsible for month end close.
- Responsible for Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
- Communicate actively with our clients and other members of the team promoting standardization of process and continuous improvement for the activities conduct by R2R
- Compiles and analyzes financial information to record transactions, prepare reports, and review and verify accuracy.
Key Skills & Experience
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or similar)
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in finance or accounting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in financial modelling and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SAP).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in a global manufacturing company.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and business intelligence tools.
- Knowledge of international accounting standards and practices.
