If yes, we have a new position for an experienced AI Data Scientist (Senior/Lead) to provide expert governance and oversight for AI/ML products. This role involves ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and promoting responsible AI practices.
Whilst this is a hybrid role, some days should be expected to work on the client site in Dublin.
Responsibilities
- Lead complex data science and machine learning projects from ideation to production deployment
- Design and implement supervised, unsupervised and reinforcement learning models for high-impact business use cases
- Explore and apply Generative AI and LLMs to automate, enhance or accelerate analytical and operational workflows
- Build and maintain robust, interactive dashboards in Tableau to communicate insights and support decision-making
- Contribute to the development of recommendation engines and anomaly detection systems
- Develop intelligent matching solutions using both Generative AI and traditional machine learning techniques
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and design appropriate technical solutions
- Conduct thorough quality assurance testing for analytical prototypes and tools
- Provide mentorship to junior data scientists and help grow team-wide technical capabilities
- Drive innovation through R&D initiatives and exploration of new methodologies
- Manage project deliverables with accountability for timelines, quality and stakeholder alignment
- Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in data science, Computer Science, Statistics, Software Engineering or a related field. A Ph.D. is a plus
- Proven experience in data science, machine learning or ML engineering roles. Experience leading projects or mentoring is a strong asset
- Expert proficiency in Python and SQL
- Deep knowledge of key Python libraries: pandas, NumPy, SciPy, sklearn, Plotly, Matplotlib
- Good experience designing and implementing fuzzy matching, record linkage, and probabilistic matching algorithms
- Familiarity with building recommendation engines and anomaly detection systems
- Practical understanding of Generative AI and LLM techniques (e.g., prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, embedding models)
- Expertise in Databricks—including data pipelines, ML model development and distributed computing on Spark
- Hands-on experience with Hue for managing and interacting with data pipelines and SQL workloads
- Experience developing interactive dashboards with Tableau
