Assistant Manager – Murphy’s Bagels
Job Description
Assist the Store Manager in the day-to-day running of a busy food court style restaurant. This is a hands-on roll with the AM providing front of house customer interface as well as overseeing work on the deli counter and kitchen areas. The AM will be required to assist the manager with the implementation of food safety, customer service, portion control, team rostering and motivation on the shop floor. The team will report to the AM in the absence of the Store Manager. The AM will also assist the manager with stock and order control.
Key Responsibilities:
· Manage the shop floor team in terms of positioning, sales, portion control and customer service.
· Support the manager in running up to 30 staff including supervisors
· Manage all cash-handing functions and ensure cash is counted and reconciled daily and all anomalies are accounted for. Ensure vigilance in relation to all cash procedures.
· Implement, monitor and manage food safety and H&S on the shop floor with all team members
· Ensure SOP’s & Company Policies are being followed on the shop floor daily
· Shop floor management of stock and order requirements & support Manager with stock & order admin
· Food prep, food portioning and setting up counters and merchandising for upselling daily
· Implement and manage cleaning rosters at each counter
· Mentor and performance manage supervisors and team along with the store manager
· Take guidance from the Store Manager on all admin tasks including equipment maintenance, marketing, and handling customer queries, general store operations.

· Cash and sales reports – daily, weekly, monthly
· Stock reports – daily, weekly, monthly
· Wastage reports – daily, weekly, monthly
· Labour and payroll reports – weekly
· Incident & accident reports – as required
· Team performance reports – weekly, monthly
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: €34,000.00-€35,000.00 per year
