The Half Barrel Pub and Restaurant, a renowned and vibrant culinary establishment, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager to lead and oversee the restaurant and bar daily operations. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated leader, responsible for ensuring exceptional guest experiences, managing the restaurant's and bar performance, and fostering a positive and efficient work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by providing excellent service and addressing any issues that arise.
- Staff Management: Assist in recruiting, training, and supervising staff. Create staff schedules and manage payroll.
- Operational Oversight: Oversee daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Event Planning: Help coordinate and manage events, promotions, and special occasions.
- Quality Control: Maintain high standards of food and beverage quality, presentation, and service.
- Problem Solving: Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise in a timely and effective manner.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations with ease.
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Preferred Attributes:
- A degree or diploma in Hospitality Management or a related field.
- Experience in a similar role in a pub or restaurant setting.
