Background:
Mezzino Student Living is a rapidly expanding student accommodation operator, managing over 9,000 beds across 37 locations in Ireland and the UK. Since commencing operations in Ireland 4 years ago we have firmly established Mezzino as a major player within the Irish student accommodation sector and are the only company with operations in the university cities of Dublin, Galway, Cork, and Belfast.
We now require a dynamic & confident Assistant Residence Manager to join the team in one of our Cork City Properties.
During the academic year the property is occupied by students attending full time programmes in various nearby Colleges and Universities and over the Summer months is occupied by students attending language courses, short / part-time programmes and leisure guests.
Main responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the Residence Manager the Assistant Manager will be responsible for assisting in maximising occupancy levels, maintaining operational efficiency throughout the site and maximising resident satisfaction and engagement.
You will have specific responsibility for:
- Managing Resident Assistants
- Front of house daily operations
- Responding to reservation enquiries; face to face, via telephone or email while contributing to achieving our targeted occupancy levels
- Receiving and processing payments while also monitoring and chasing rent arrears
- Ensuring a high standard of customer service is delivered to all residents while having regard for Student Welfare and liaising with the appropriate welfare professionals as required
- Assist in managing any complaints in a professional and confidential manner
- Performing viewings with potential customers, giving tours of the property and facilities
- Undertake inspections of the apartments and rooms to assess condition for recharges.
- Regularly liaise with the Maintenance and Cleaning teams to ensure the property is presented to the highest standard
- Ensure that all performance targets and improvement plans for the site are achieved with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Supporting with the on boarding of new team members, assisting with training needs
- Production and delivery of a plan of student events to enhance student satisfaction
- Provide assistance out of hours as required.
You will be required to be a self-starter, well-organised, able to think on your feet with strong interpersonal skills.
Working Hours:
September to May
40 hour working week primarily Monday to Friday, standard office hours.
June to August
40 hour working week over 7 days to include weekend work
Previous Experience:
- Successful candidate will likely have previous experience in Hotel Reception, Reservations, Student Accommodation at team leader or supervisory level.

Pay: €30,000.00-€33,000.00 per year
