We are now looking for an Assistant Underwriter team on permanent basis.
In this role will be responsible for assisting in the underwriting of the professional lines portfolio in all areas including holding responsibility for the management of information held on our inhouse systems.
Essential job functions include:
- Liaising with brokers, coverholders, and clients to gather underwriting data and promote AmTrust’s products and services.
- Supporting the maintenance of the Financial Lines portfolio, including compiling business reports.
- Performing administrative tasks such as:
- Reviewing policy wordings and certificates of insurance.
- Updating underwriting systems.
- Investigating billing queries.
To be successful in this role you will have some experience within the underwriting sector, either as an apprentice, intern, assistant, or technician. Some knowledge of underwriting practices relating to PI within the UK or international market would be beneficial but not a necessity.
This role will suit you if you possess strong analytical skills, a collaborative focused work ethic and strong verbal and written communication skills and if you have a desire to pursue a career within Underwriting and are looking for a role where you can truly develop and build a foundation for a long and successful career.
