Process Sciences is a technical services department that deals with a range of scientific, technical, engineering and mathematical needs from the laboratory to the manufacturing floor. Process Sciences support the following areas Upstream Sciences, Downstream Sciences, Analytical Technologies, IPC lifecycle, Data Analytics, Manufacturing Support and Process Solutions.
As an Associate Process Scientist a typical day might include, but is not limited to, the following:
- Maintaining sufficient stocks of cGMP and non-cGMP mammalian cell banks to meet manufacturing and experimental study demands
- Monitoring cyrofreezers and storage of cell banks
- Reviewing, editing, completing and revising logbooks and SOPs in accordance with cGMP standards and compliant with written procedure
- Participating in equipment start-up, commissioning, validation and maintenance
- Investigating deviations, identification of root causes; and proposes appropriate corrective actions and preventative measures as part of Cell Banking
- Participating in regulatory inspections as subject matter expert (SME) of cell bank activities
- Producing and maintaining accurate records
- Presenting your findings at group and possibly at interdepartmental meetings

To be considered for this opportunity you should have a BS/BA in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Engineering or related field. Minimum of one year in a biopharmaceutical setting is a requirement. May consider another degree discipline with relevant experience.
