What you will be responsible for
As Azure Cloud Architect, Ireland Insurance site lead, Vice President you will:
Provide multiple concurrent project solution architecture guidance, best practices, and design direction
Hands-on solution pilot development and guidance through to MVP release
Work with multiple technology and project teams including business application development, Office of architecture, and infrastructure support teams.
Implement process for creation and maintenance of business application platform lifecycle roadmaps as part of the governance process
Collaborate with other developers, business analysts, product management to craft elegant solutions to front office trading requirements.
Participate in periodic code reviews with focus on functional integrity as well as extensibility and scalability
Provide mentoring to junior and senior staff

Education & Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Math or associated areas
15+ years of experience in a large financial services organization including 8+ years of experience in a Leadership or Architect role.
Extensive experience with C#, .NET Framework, Microservice/RESTful API based application development using full-stacks - Spring Boot (Java, React/JQuery/HTML5, RDBMS), Kafka, MQ, Oracle, SQL Server.
Design for auto scaling, self-healing, rolling upgrades, containerized microservice cloud-native applications
Azure Public Cloud, PaaS/IaaS - hybrid cloud-based system design and implementation end to end.
Low latency & high-performance computing system design & implementation.
Event driven system design & implementation (message brokers like Kafka, IBM MQ).
Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum SDLC methodologies and roles
