Now Hiring: Barbacks – Support the Bar Team at The New Fox & Hounds
The Fox & Hounds is Ballyvolane’s newest over-21s hospitality venue, and we’re building a strong team from the ground up. We’re now hiring Barbacks to provide essential behind-the-scenes support to our bartenders and help deliver smooth, high-quality service to our customers.
This role is perfect for someone energetic, reliable, and eager to work in a fast-paced bar environment — whether you're starting in hospitality or looking to grow into a bar role.
Key Responsibilities
- Restock and replenish spirits, beers, glassware, and bar supplies
- Collect and wash used glassware promptly and hygienically
- Keep bar stations clean, organised, and ready for service
- Assist bartenders with ice, garnishes, and general preparation tasks
- Empty bins and manage waste as needed during service
- Support floor and glass collecting team as required
- Ensure the back-of-house area remains tidy and hazard-free
- Follow all hygiene and safety standards consistently
What We’re Looking For
- A strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Physically fit and able to work on your feet in a busy environment
- Fast, efficient, and attentive to detail
- Positive attitude and team-first mindset
- Previous hospitality or cleaning experience is a bonus but not essential
- Must be available evenings and weekends
