Barista

Job Overview:

We’re looking for a friendly, efficient, and reliable Barista to join our team at our unique coffee container café. As a barista, you’ll be responsible for crafting quality coffee and beverages, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace within a compact, fast-paced environment.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys coffee culture, thrives in small spaces, and can work independently or as part of a small team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and espresso drinks, teas, and other beverages to standard.
• Operate espresso machines, grinders, and other coffee equipment with care and accuracy.
• Greet customers warmly and take orders with speed and attention to detail.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the container, including counters, equipment, and seating (if applicable).
• Manage stock levels, restock supplies, and report inventory needs.
• Handle cash and card transactions accurately using a POS system.
• Follow all health, safety, and food hygiene regulations.
• Open and close the container café independently (if required).
• Engage with customers, answer questions, and promote menu items or specials.

Requirements:

• Previous barista or hospitality experience preferred (but training may be provided).
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a confined space and on your feet for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in varying weather conditions (if the container is semi-outdoor).
• Basic math skills for cash handling and portioning.
• Strong time-management and multitasking abilities.
• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.

Nice to Have:

• Latte art skills.
• Knowledge of different brew methods (e.g., pour-over, AeroPress).
• Experience working in small or mobile hospitality setups.

Working Conditions:

• Compact work environment with limited space for movement.
• May involve early mornings, weekends, and occasional event-based shifts.
• Physical role requiring standing, lifting, and operating machinery.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: €13.50-€16.61 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
