Responsibilities:
- Support the planning and execution of SET (Signaling, Electrification, and Telecom) projects by applying effective Project Management methodologies. Manage and administer all forms and types of NEC Contracts, GCCC Contracts, among others, to achieve program targets and execute work packages efficiently.
- Lead and coordinate the design management to ensure a fully integrated final design for current projects and future rail network expansion. Ensure compliance with I-SET-9100 Engineering Management for Projects standards in managing design, construction, and system integration across all projects.
- Develop and maintain a detailed Project Plan, outlining project development, roles, responsibilities, milestones, and risks. Monitor and schedule programs to track and predict project timelines effectively.
- Allocate resources, including engineers and technicians, for SET systems and daily operational support. Establish a Work Breakdown Structure with detailed schedules, resource allocation, and cost estimation for every work package.
- Manage project budgets, ensuring continuous Value for Money (VFM) appraisal. Develop a Cost Plan to identify total project costs, estimates, risks, and measures to mitigate these risks. Implement a Risk Management System for each project and maintain a risk register throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop a Sustainability Plan that addresses social, economic, and environmental objectives, ensuring that all related issues are considered.
- Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of equipment and materials. Assist with preparation of project reports and presentations and implement document control procedures with established review/approval processes.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in project management or a related field, with a preference for experience in railway infrastructure or rail systems projects.
- Preferably IRSE licensed and/or chartered (e.g. accredited technician or Signaling Design Assis-tant)
- Experience as a project coordinator or assistant project manager in railway system projects is considered advantageous.
- Basic understanding of signaling, electrification, and telecom systems in railway projects is expected.
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and railway system technologies.
