Club Maidine / Trathnóna is a breakfast and after-school service in Gaelscoil Inis Córthiadh. It runs from 07:50 to 08:50 and 13:20 to 18:00 each day. The Morning / Afternoon Club aims to provide a high quality, friendly and reliable environment for pupils of Gaelscoil Inis Córthaidh. We are looking for a kind, enthusiastic and dedicated individual to manage our service. Please note that this role will commence at the start of the school term and is for term-time only.
Job Description:
- To manage the service, in accordance with all relevant legislation and statutory requirements.
- Managing the daily operations of the service.
- Supporting and guiding staff, making sure they feel well-trained and confident in their roles.
- Helping to create fun, creative, and educational activities that meet the needs of the children.
- Ensuring that all safety and safeguarding guidelines are followed.
- Assisting with the staff recruitment and training strategy.
- Keeping track of budgets, resources, and any operational matters.
- Assisting children with their homework.
- Addressing any concerns from parents or staff in a caring and timely manner.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Previous childcare experience.
- Previous experience in a leadership or management role, ideally in childcare or after-school programs.
- Excellent communication skills
- A genuine passion for working with children and commitment to providing a nurturing environment.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, approachable leadership style.
- Confidence in speaking in the Irish language.
- A proactive problem-solver who can manage multiple tasks while staying calm under pressure.
- A good understanding of safeguarding practices and child welfare.
- Garda vetting and reference checks required for child safety.

Pay: €18.00-€20.00 per hour
