Role Overview
As a Senior Building Services Manager, you will lead multidisciplinary engineering projects from initial design through to final execution and handover. You will be responsible for managing project timelines, budgets, quality, and client communications while also mentoring and overseeing a team of Building Services Engineers. This is a strategic, client-facing role requiring strong leadership, technical expertise, and a passion for delivering high-performance, sustainable building systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, coordination, and execution of mechanical and electrical building services on projects across multiple sectors.
- Manage and oversee the full project lifecycle, from concept and design development through construction support and commissioning.
- Interface with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure project delivery aligns with quality standards, budget, and timelines.
- Develop technical strategies, review detailed design documents, and ensure regulatory compliance and technical accuracy.
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers and designers, fostering continuous development and performance excellence.
- Conduct regular site inspections and design reviews; resolve design or execution issues proactively.
- Coordinate building services requirements with architectural and structural disciplines.
- Prepare and manage project documentation including specifications, tender submissions, reports, and status updates.
- Support the development and standardization of internal design and delivery practices.
- Represent OSENG in industry forums, client presentations, and key stakeholder engagements.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering.
- 10+ years of experience in building services engineering, with at least 3–5 years in a senior/project leadership role.
- Proven experience in managing complex building services projects from design through to construction and commissioning.
- Strong knowledge of current building regulations, codes of practice, and sustainable design principles.
- Experience in stakeholder and client management within engineering consultancy environments.
- Proficient in design and coordination software (AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, etc.)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
