Due to its ongoing expansion, Kerry Mechanical Engineering (KME), based in Kilmorna, Co. Kerry is recruiting a Business Administrator to work as part of a growing organisation. Operating for over 25 years, KME delivers a range of services in high-end steel fabrication and engineering. The successful candidate will be part of a 60+ person team, serving a range of clients both nationally and internationally. The successful candidate will assume the role of lead administrator and ensure the efficient and timely delivery of various administrative functions by working in partnership with the current administrative resources. These responsibilities include:
- Provide administrative support to management and employees
- Serve as a point of contact for clients, employees, and key personnel via phone, email, and in person, ensuring professional and timely communication.
- Assist with onboarding new employees and support HR functions, including
- logging and tracking annual leave, managing sick leave records, and scheduling performance reviews.
- Arrange and coordinate any required employee travel plans.
- Maintain and organise office filing systems, both physical and digital, ensuring easy accessibility and compliance with company standards.
- Schedule meetings, prepare agendas, take minutes, and track action items as required.
- Welcome and assist visitors, ensuring a professional and friendly office environment.
- Maintain and organize RSA and ISO documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory and industry standards.
- Manage office supplies and equipment, ensuring stock levels adequately meet business needs.
- Monitor employee training requirements and coordinate training programs as needed.
- Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- Perform any other administrative duties as required to support the company’s objectives.
Requirements:
- Experience in a business administration or similar role
- Degree in Business Administration or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint and adaptability to new software and systems.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and ability to work independently under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a sense of urgency when required.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
