Role Overview:
Support the business development function by assisting with market research, client outreach, sales support, and strategic planning initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for a student to gain hands-on experience in business growth strategies, customer relationship management, and cross-functional collaboration within a technical environment.
Main Duties:
Assist in identifying and evaluating new business opportunities, including lead generation and competitor analysis.
Conduct market research to support entry into new sectors or geographies.
Support the preparation of client proposals, presentations, and marketing materials. Work with the marketing team to support digital campaigns, social media, and trade show planning.
Assist in tracking KPIs and preparing regular business development reports for internal stakeholders.
Desirable Skills/ Experience:
Competent in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Experience using business software (e.g., Sage Accounts, or any CRM tool such as HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.).
Familiarity with digital marketing platforms or social media for business
Previous part-time, voluntary, or summer work in a customer-facing or administrative role.
Completion of relevant business modules (e.g., marketing, sales, operations management, or entrepreneurship).

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Interest in B2B sales and marketing within technical industries.
Ability to work collaboratively within a small, cross-functional team.
Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to learn.
