The Cabin Crew Engagement Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing an effective communication strategy in facilitating communication regarding strategic vision and objectives as well as new and operational activities. They will build strong and lasting relationships with the Cabin Crew in all locations, serving as the point of contact for retail communications – maintaining purposeful communications and reward strategies that are effective in multi-cultural and differing unionised environments.
The Role
- Lead the creation, development and execution of the crew engagement strategy for the dnata Retail IFR business
- Design, develop and coordinate crew sales training and sales engagement / management solutions appropriate for all Crew roles, Ensuring ROI
- Lead the co-ordination of an all-encompassing Crew Recognition programme, including event management co-ordination of annual recognition galas
- Lead, develop and deliver an In-flight retail training, competence and development programme that includes product, sales tools and skills
- Plan implement and evaluate digital communication strategies and projects.
- Manage programmes designed to improve engagement in the business strategy.
- Provide support and expert guidance on all matters relating to communication.
- Engage with colleagues to provide advice and guidance on key issues, concerning activities and other relevant strategies to the successful operation of the organisation.
- Ensure communication messages are consistent across mediums.
- Ensure that communications are tailored to specific departments in the organisation.
- Ensure that external communications produced adhere to brand standards.
- Continually review all training materials which are designed for the Cabin Crew community.
- Establish and support strong working relationships with Crew management to support the in-flight retail function
- Create a structured approach to managing crew sales performance at a base & an individual level – developing a performance management culture relating to retail.
- Ensure that performance management tools that are designed support a structured approach to managing performance.
- Regularly observe the working environment of in-flight retail sales on board flights
- Lead on the development and management of an effective communication tool between the Crew Community, Buying and Category Management and Merchandising Teams to increase sales.
- Implement robust measurement approaches to measure effectiveness of communications, facilitating workshops and applying other research tools, and producing insight which identifies key issues

The Requirements
- Demonstratable experience of developing and implementing communication strategies that fit multi-territory audiences.
- Evidence of managing communication, especially in digital media.
- Proven experience in implementing, transforming and managing a best practice Communications and Engagement approach within a complex commercial business on a multi-site basis.
- Ability to work under pressure, achieving tight deadlines
- Strong communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Flexibility with working hours, be able to work weekends when needed
- Be able to undergo 5 year background check and garda vetting
- Authorized to work full time within Ireland
