Cafe/Kitchen Assistant - Kiltipper Woods Care Centre, Dublin 24
Kiltipper Woods Care Centre is a modern, award-winning nursing home providing provides a comprehensive range of specialist nursing care, rehabilitation and convalescence care. As part of our facility, we have an on-site coffee shop that is open to the public, and we are currently looking for a dedicated Cafe/Kitchen Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth daily operations, delivering high-quality food and beverages, and maintaining excellent hygiene and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide friendly and efficient service in a busy, fast-paced coffee shop.
- Maintain a varied and appealing menu, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Follow HACCP, Health & Safety, and Food Safety Management procedures.
- Keep the cafe and outdoor seating area clean, welcoming, and well-stocked.
- Assist in menu development, food presentation, and preparation.
- Manage stock levels and minimize waste.
- Prepare and serve hot & cold dishes, sandwiches, and confectioneries.
- Maintain high standards of food preparation, hygiene, and storage.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience working in a fast-paced cafe or kitchen environment.
- A positive, customer-focused attitude with great people skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work efficiently under pressure.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Enthusiasm for food, service, and presentation.
- High standards of personal hygiene and cleanliness.
- Food Hygiene Training (desirable but not essential).
- Must hold a valid work permit.
