We have an excellent career opportunity for the role of Home Care Assistant to join our amazing Arch Homecare branch working in the Frenchpark, County Roscommon area.
Pay: We pay excellent hourly rates of €15.20 per hour and €20 per hour when staff work on Sundays.
Did you know that you do not require care experience to work with us at Home Assist? We’re very much interested if you’re a kind, reliable, honest and dedicated person. Having Care Skills and Care of the Older person modules is preferred but training can be provided here.

Key responsibilities:
- To assist our clients with personal care such as; bathing, showering, toileting and continence management.
- Light housework such as; making beds, sweeping and mopping floors, ensuring commodes are emptied and cleaned.
- To prepare meals and assist with feeding and hydration.
- Recording and reporting of Accidents / Incidents to the Care Manager in line with company policies & procedures.
- Prompting of medication and reporting medication errors to the Care Manager in line with company policies & procedures.
- To promote independence to the fullest, allowing for client choice and providing client centred care to the fullest.
- To assist colleagues with covering sick leave and annual leave where possible
- To work as part of a community team and to respect your colleagues and clients at all times.
- To promote safe working practices in line with company policies and procedures

Essential criteria:
- Minimum QQI Care Skills & Care of the Older Person (If you don’t have them, we can provide training!)
- Your Own Vehicle & a Full Driving Licence (Essential for this role)
- 1 Year of Healthcare Experience (Preferred)
- Fluent English & Work Authorisation for Ireland
