Due to increased demand, we are looking for Carpenters
- Install fittings and storage units in line with requirements of each project
- Fit out, re-fit or renovate client sites to include but not limited to offices, restaurants, cafés and retail outlets
- Carry out measurements and calculations
- Read and interpret plans and specifications
- To ensure correct and safe use of hand tools, power tools and factory machines
- Ensure the highest standard of assembly is carried out at all times
- Ensure that you are working in line with current health and safety standards
- Take full responsibility for all health and safety issues for which he/she is responsible
- Any other duties that may be assigned by your Line Manager
- Person Specification Qualifications
- Safe Pass is advantageous
- Shop fitting Trade experience or qualification is essential
Experience, Skills & Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of technical specifications of products and installations
- Experience of using hand tools
- Experience of using power tools Ability to read CAD drawings is essential
- Must be flexible as there will be a requirement for overtime on occasion or night shift
- Strong knowledge of technical specifications of joinery and cabinet making products
- Must possess a dynamic approach to achieving continuous improvement
- Minimum 4 years' experience in a similar role is essential
- Ability to read cad drawings and identify all components required for assembly
- Ability to work within tight deadlines in a busy environment
- Flexible approach to duties undertaken
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Strong demeanour as role can place physical demands and heavy lifting may be involved
- Must be self-motivated and able to motivate others
- Good time keeping and reliable Ability to learn quickly in a busy fast paced environment
- Must be a team player
Must have own tools and transport.
