5:00 PM – 9:00 PM (4 hours per day)
Total Hours: 20 hours per week
Job Purpose:
To maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment across the premises by carrying out a range of routine and ad hoc cleaning duties. This position is critical to ensuring the premises are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness each evening.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean, dust, and sanitize surfaces including desks, counters, and communal touchpoints.
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors throughout designated areas.
- Empty bins and replace liners.
- Clean and disinfect toilets, sinks, and washroom areas.
- Replenish consumables such as toilet paper, soap, and hand towels.
- Clean kitchenettes and staff break areas.
- Follow specific cleaning schedules for deeper cleaning tasks (e.g., windows, skirting boards).
- Safely use and store cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Report maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor or site manager.
- Comply with health and safety regulations and site-specific requirements.
Your profile
Person Specification:
Essential:
- Previous cleaning experience in commercial, office, or public buildings.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Good timekeeping and reliability.
- Attention to detail and high standards of hygiene.
- Knowledge of COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health).
- Basic English communication skills for understanding instructions and signage.
Additional Information:
- This role involves working independently after regular business hours.
- Cleaning supplies and storage areas will be provided on site.
- The successful candidate may be subject to background checks if required by the client or location.
